
Sheena Ung is among the two Malaysians at the competition. The Borneo Post reported that the other competitor is a male swimmer from Melaka.
Ung will be competing in the women’s 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke events.
She won gold in the fifth Special Olympics Malaysia national games last year, a silver in the 25m breaststroke, and bronze in the 50m event.
She is currently training with the National Sports Council coach Mandu Nyungkan.
The Special Olympics World Games will take place from June 17 to 23 in Berlin.
In February, it was reported that 22 Malaysian athletes from five states will be representing the country in swimming, badminton, bowling and athletics.
