
KUALA LUMPUR: Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today said frontliners in Sabah are now facing a critical moment in the battle against Covid-19.
He said several strategies and approaches would be taken to break the chain of infection in the state.
“Our strategy is based on community surveillance, contact tracing to find, test, isolate and treat all infected persons, and breaking the chain of infection further by tightening the state and district borders,” he said on Twitter.
There were 561 new Covid-19 infections reported in the country yesterday, with Sabah recording the highest – 488.
