PETALING JAYA:
All directors of Felcra Berhad are to be questioned in a continuing investigation into the government-owned land agency, according to its chairman, Bung Moktar Radin, after he spent a day at the MACC yesterday.

Bung, the outspoken MP for Kinabatangan, said he was interviewed “as a witness”. He said other members of Felcra’s board of directors would also be called to assist in the investigations, according to news portal Malaysiakini.

Bung said he had cooperated fully with the MACC and was not concerned if he was to be interviewed again.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, in a statement late yesterday, confirmed it had completed taking a statement from Bung at their headquarters in Putrajaya to assist investigations of a case under the MACC Act 2009.

“The statement was taken from him (Bung) from 10am until 3pm,” the statement said.

Media reports said the investigation was about several investments in unit trusts by Felcra Bhd, formerly the Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority, a statutory body, converted to a government-owned company.

The MACC is believed to be seeking to determine if there were any kickbacks involved.
