PETALING JAYA :
Sungai Besar Umno division chief Jamal Yunos is the latest casualty of Sarawak’s move to bar “undesirables” from entering the state.

“What’s the problem? We are Malaysians, too. We want to meet our NGO buddies here.

“We are not trying to have a demo here. If DAP NGOs and other Chinese NGOs want to come, they are allowed to enter,” he told FMT when contacted.

The leader of Malay NGOs was said to have arrived at the Kuching International Airport at 11.30am along with seven friends.

Jamal was barred along with three of his friends, while the other four were allowed to enter the state.

The three were Ariffin Abu Bakar, Rahim Ibrahim and Razali Zakaria.

Jamal said he was currently appealing to the state’s immigration to reverse the ban.

He added that if the appeal wasn’t successful, his entourage and he would return to Peninsular Malaysia this afternoon.
