
The Edge Malaysia reported that the job scope comprises design and build on earthwork, ground treatment, drainage, electrical substation, a sewerage treatment plant and a network pumping station for wastewater.
The 24-month contract will commence from the date of site possession.
Laksana’s existing order book stands at RM283 million with the addition of the contract, which boosts Laksana’s portfolio and creates new opportunities for future growth and collaboration.
The company is also in the midst of moving into the housing development sector, an expansion which aligns with its long-term vision as well as the nation’s economic and structural growth.
PSPS is one of three industrial parks PDC is building in the state involving a total investment of RM3.2 billion.
The other two are the 251.7ha Batu Kawan Industrial Park 3 (BKIP3) and the 154.6ha Bandar Cassia Technology Park.
Aimed at fostering innovation and supporting research-intensive industries in Penang, the industrial parks are expected to be completed in 2031.
