PETALING JAYA:
Low-cost carrier MYAirline has been given the green light to start operations.

It received its air service licence (ASL) from the Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) on Nov 15. It was awarded an air operator certificate (AOC) by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) on Oct 1.

The ASL enables MYAirline to begin selling flight tickets for it to commence services from klia2.

MYAirline CEO Rayner Teo said getting the ASL and AOC meant that the new airline could now operate commercial flights.

The low-cost carrier has around 370 employees and targets to hit 500 by the end of the year.
