Petronas’ 2nd floating LNG facility ready by 1st quarter next year

The first floating LNG Satu is now moored in the Kebabangan cluster field 90km northwest of Kota Kinabalu.

SHANGHAI:
Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) expects to have its second floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in Malaysia ready by the first quarter of next year.

Petronas’ chief executive Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin disclosed this at the LNG2019 conference in Shanghai today.

Malaysia had said in October last year that the facility would be operational by July 2020.

Petronas’ first floating LNG Satu is now moored in the Kebabangan cluster field, some 90km northwest of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the company had said last month.
