DOHA:
Qatar Charity (QC) has delivered 21,500 food parcels via 39 convoys to the Gaza Strip, Xinhua quoted the Qatar News Agency report Monday.

The aid was provided in collaboration with Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation and is expected to benefit approximately 100,000 people in Gaza, with each parcel sufficient to support a family for a full month, the report said.

“This aid is a continuation of QC’s initiatives since the beginning of the war on Gaza. Our goal is to support our brothers and sisters in Gaza and alleviate their suffering by providing essential supplies such as food, medicine, and shelter,” the report quoted Mana Al-Ansari, director of the Emergency and Relief Department at QC, as saying.

The total number of food parcels provided by QC’s office in Jordan has now reached about 40,000, along with nearly 15 tonnes of medicines and medical supplies, according to the charity.
