ISLAMABAD:
A Pakistani Christian woman who spent eight years on death row for blasphemy has been freed from jail but is still in the country after being flown out of the city of Multan where she was being held, the foreign ministry said Thursday.

Foreign ministry spokesman Muhammad Faisal denied media reports that Asia Bibi had left the country, telling AFP: “She is in Pakistan”.
