Adopt-a pet: 4 ‘designer dogs’ up for grabs at KLPR

Adopt-a pet: 4 ‘designer dogs’ up for grabs at KLPR

Named after fashion brands, these lovely canines – one male and three females – are from the same litter.

PETALING JAYA:
Since 2011, KL Pooch Resort & Rescue (KLPR) has been making a difference in the lives of stray dogs across the Klang Valley, taking in strays that are in need of medical attention and providing them with a temporary home at their Kalumpang shelter.

As space at the shelter is finite, the public is able to help by giving these dogs a forever home, or by sponsoring selected pooches.

Below are four dogs up for adoption, all siblings of the same litter who would make the perfect furry companion. They are believed to have been born in 2015 and were found abandoned at KLPR’s gates, with one lucky pup adopted early on.

Dubbed the “designer dogs” by shelter staff, they bear the names of famous fashion brands as “they have designer fluff that would go with any outfit”.

Gucci

The man of the litter, Gucci, is a natural leader who exudes confidence. (KLPR pic)

The man of the family, Gucci is a sweet dog who would love nothing more than a belly rub from a loving owner.

He is an easygoing pooch who takes life in his own stride, without a care in the world.

He also exudes confidence and is trusting of people, never having to assert his authority despite being a natural leader.

He has been dewormed, neutered, and has received the necessary vaccinations.

Dior

Dior is an athletic dog who would fit a family with an active lifestyle. (KLPR pic)

Dior would make the perfect pet for folks with an active lifestyle, as she is filled with energy and would love a home with a huge compound.

With her ability to run and jump without losing her breath, one might wonder if she was an Olympian in a previous life.

She loves playing with people as much as she likes running. And chasing a frisbee would be a dream come true for her.

Dior has been dewormed, spayed, and has received the necessary vaccinations.

Fendi

Notorious for being highly intimate, Fendi loves to smother people with sloppy kisses. (KLPR pic)

You might find it hard to keep your balance with Fendi around as her life’s goal is to smother people with slobber and kisses.

Energetic like her other siblings, she could be more suited to the outdoors, given how she might end up bouncing off the walls.

Fendi is notoriously boisterous, with her tail wagging at Mach-10 speed when she takes a liking to you.

She has been dewormed, spayed, and has received the necessary vaccinations.

Klein

Relatively down-to-earth compared with her siblings, Klein is a sweet and friendly dog. (KLPR pic)

While she may lack the limitless energy that her siblings have, Klein is no pushover.

The sweet darling of the litter is a friendly dog who would love nothing more than to curl at your feet.

Klein is gentle as a kitten and can be trusted around children and the elderly. If her puppy eyes don’t melt your heart, nothing will.

She has been dewormed, spayed, and has received the necessary vaccinations.

Due to travel restrictions, visits to the shelter are not possible but KLPR will make arrangements to send the dogs to their adopters, who have a two-week foster period to decide if their new pet is a good match.

Once the adoption is finalised, there will be a fee of RM350 and in return, you will get a lifetime of benefits including discounted dog food, boarding and grooming sessions. Adopters and their dogs will also have unlimited use of KLPR’s recreation facilities.

So many beautiful dogs are waiting for forever homes and the chance at a good and happy life. Adopt, don’t shop.

If you wish to adopt any of the dogs featured here, contact KLPR via WhatsApp at 012-3960977 or 016-2333647. You can also visit their website for more information.
