When buddies and roommates Kiko, Kevin and Matthew first met Ashton a couple of months ago, they were surprised to see a tiny ball of fur in place of a three-month-old rescue kitten.
Needless to say, they were absolutely smitten by the little fellow’s charming gaze.
According to them, the naughty, inquisitive and affectionate Tabby cat was in fact the youngest of his litter.

“Ashton loves being carried in our arms around the house (in lieu of walking because he can be that lazy!), and often spends his time catching a snooze in his favourite cardboard home,” shared Matthew.
Since coming into their lives, Ashton greets each of them every morning with doting head rubs and soft, mellow meows – the best kind of alarm clock yet.
“On some mornings, if we’re lucky, he’ll flop at our feet and purr endlessly,” said Kiko.

This cutie enjoys stretching his limbs across the fluffy carpets, raiding the dining table for leftovers and when he’s truly and utterly bored, Ashton will just be meow-ing at Matthew and Kevin for treats, which he gets in abundance.
“We adore the fact that Ashton isn’t shy; he loves to be around people,” said Kevin.
As the days passed however, the trio discovered that Ashton’s digestive system was rather sensitive.

“There’s been many visits to the vet as he has been unable to keep his food down. He has also on occasion, just refused to eat,” explained Kevin, who noted that all three of them take turns to monitor Ashton closely.
“Heartbreaking as it was, we continuously monitored him and fed him his medicines. At some point, the vet claimed Ashton had developed FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) but we drew a huge sigh of relief after tests confirmed a negative result,” exclaimed Matthew.

In recent times however, Ashton’s overall health has been gradually improving.
“He’s gaining weight just nicely and he’s definitely improving because he’s becoming more active by the day; he’s gotten quite good at climbing all over the place so we’re definitely going to have our hands full in no time!” quipped Kiko.
