Wesha always had plans for her fifth and youngest cat, chief of which is to name her “Eva”, the loved character from Disney’s ‘Wall-E’.
However, upon getting to know the little Scottish Fold, Wesha promptly had a change of mind.
“I ended up with Mulan because this tiny kitty is just so feisty. When she first arrived at my house, she was only one month old but already half the size of my other four cats,” laughs Wesha.
Yes, Mulan is indeed tiny but mighty and she knows it. In fact, according to Wesha, Mulan wasted no time in marking her territory on the first day of her arrival.

Wesha recounts the tale by saying that she has specific bowls for all her cats before Mulan, but the dynamics were interrupted when Mulan entered the scene.
“On the day, I prepared the usual four bowls of food and a separate one for her. She just walked right up to one of the larger bowls and started eating!
“So, the owner of the bowl she was conquering, Whoseen, came over to his bowl and was curious as to why a little kitten was eating from his bowl.”
The scene that unfolded after, Wesha will never forget.
“Mulan looked up as he approached, placed her paw in the bowl and started growling at him!”
But Whoseen, being the larger of the two, was neither threatened nor disturbed by this.
“With one paw still in the bowl, Mulan used her other paw to block Whoseen’s face despite him being thrice her size,” laughs Wesha.
Clearly, this feisty female cat will not back down no matter how big or tough her adversary may look.

But Wesha said being brave is one of her best features, as proven by one other incident that cemented Mulan’s reputation as a highly-spirited cat.
“I have an open cage for the cats, where they can sleep inside if they want to. The other cats use the normal way in, through the door,” relates Wesha.
And of course, one can expect different things from Mulan.
“But not little Mulan, no. She would actually climb onto the sides of the cage, and enter from the top!”

Though Mulan is clearly non-conformist and daring, Wesha says that she is also “Mulan the manja”.
“She loves to sit next to me whenever and wherever possible,” smiles Wesha.
Not one to be far away from Wesha, Mulan will always be on Wesha’s bed or next to Wesha’s laptop when she’s working.
Sure, Mulan may be different, but she is adorable and loyal to Wesha. And as passionate as Mulan is about her territory, she makes sure that she shows her love whenever possible.
