Not much is known about Luna’s age and origins, but one thing is for sure: Luna is living a life some of us can only fantasise about.
“She is the most independent, most chilled out cat I know,” says Wesha, the owner of five cats including Luna.
Apparently, Luna is the type to mind her own business despite being in a lively house filled with other playful cats.
One might even think that she is indifferent to and detached from others and her surroundings, but Wesha says that Luna just doesn’t want to cause too much trouble.

“Luna is my first cat,” elaborates Wesha, “I found her in a box in Kampung Baru at 1am in the morning.”
As Wesha relates the story of their first encounter, it all seems like kismet as Wesha admits that she had always wanted a black cat. Lo and behold, Luna appeared and was promptly brought home.
The then-tiny Luna could jump really high back then, but things have changed.
“She’s gained a little weight now so I think she’s too lazy to jump,” laughs Wesha.

Don’t let the laziness or sleepiness fool you though, as Wesha insists that Luna is a serious hunter. At times, you would even catch her outdoors, bird-watching and hunting smaller animals.
“Though she’s always very curious about the smaller animals, she won’t hurt my sugar gliders. In fact, she bullies them!”
But when Luna’s not busy hunting and bullying, that’s when she retreats to a hidden part of the house to snooze — sometimes for hours.

“She loves to disappear and sleep for hours to the point where she would skip her meals,” says Wesha.
It does seem like Luna has her priorities set straight, especially since she prefers snoozing over snacking, but this does concern Wesha at times.
“I thought I had lost her, many times. But after a bit of panicking, she would always turn up out of nowhere, yawning,” says Wesha with a shake of her head.
To this day, Wesha still has trouble locating Luna sometimes, but realises that the adorable cat is just off living the best life — in her dreams!
