MILAN:
Adrien Rabiot will miss AC Milan’s next two Serie A fixtures against Fiorentina and Pisa after picking up a calf injury on international duty, the Italian club said on Thursday.

Milan said that tests “revealed a tear to the soleus muscle”, adding that Rabiot would be “reassessed in around 10 days”.

That timeframe rules the France midfielder out of Sunday’s clash with Fiorentina at the San Siro and the trip to Pisa the following Friday.

Rabiot signed for Milan on transfer deadline day after being offloaded by Marseille in the wake of a dressing room brawl with Jonathan Rowe, who is now also in Italy with Bologna.

The 30-year old scored in a 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Azerbaijan on Friday.

Milan sit third in Serie A on 13 points, two behind league leaders Napoli and Roma.
