The club issued a statement on the matter today to express thanks to MMC for its interest.
MMC chief executive Zaki Zamani Rashid confirmed receiving feedback from the club today in a separate statement.
“MMC accepts the decision by KDA FC with an open heart, but also feels it may have been influenced by unhealthy sentiments by certain parties to sully MMC’s reputation and that of DSAT Group.
“We thank all parties that supported our efforts to take over KDA FC even though it ended in failure. MMC wishes all the best to KDA FC and prays that it will always excel in the local football scene,” he said.
Zaki added that KDA FC decided to change their previous stance on a takeover through a letter last Thursday.
Previous media reports had stated that DSAT Group Sdn Bhd, through its subsidiary MMC, had submitted an offer to fully take over the financially-troubled KDA FC.
