LENS:
RC Lens’ Elye Wahi scored one goal and set up another in a sterling performance to secure a 2-1 home win against Arsenal and put his side top of Champions League Group B on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old Wahi got the winner in the 69th minute after feeding Adrien Thomasson for the first-half equaliser following Gabriel Jesus’s opener at a packed Stade Bollart-Delelis.

Franck Haise’s Lens team, who were also helped by superb saves from Brice Samba, then held off the Premier League side to hand Arsenal their first group stage defeat in 10 matches.

Lens, back in the Champions League for the first time in 21 years, have four points ahead of Arsenal with three. Sevilla have two after a 2-2 draw at PSV Eindhoven, who have one point.
