Muay Thai athlete Nor Iman Aliff Rakib put on an energetic performance to win the country’s 39th gold medal at the 31st SEA Games.

The 18-year-old world junior champion, who is making his SEA Games debut, defeated the host nation’s Huynh Hoang Phi 30-27 in today’s men’s elite under 54kg final at the Bac Ninh Gymnasium.

Bronze went to the losing semifinalists – Filipino participant Ariel Lee Lampacan and Sakchai Chamchit from Thailand.
