HANOI:
Malaysia continue to dominate the diving pool at the 31st SEA Games as Ng Yan Yee bagged its fifth gold medal in the women’s 3m springboard final held at the My Dinh Aquatic Centre.

It was Yan Yee’s second personal gold medal at the biennial sports meet after topping the women’s synchronised 3m springboard event with Ong Ker Ying yesterday.

Ker Ying beat six others to secure silver medal for a 1-2 podium position.

Yan Yee was crowned champion after collecting 270.60 points in five dives, followed by Ker Ying on 242.40 points.

Malaysia are targeting a clean sweep of eight gold medals up in Hanoi to repeat the success of 2019 in the Philippines, which saw the camp bag all four gold medals in the competition.
