KUALA LUMPUR: Mixed doubles top seeds Tan Kian Meng and Lai Pei Jing brushed aside unseeded home pair Pratik Ranade-Kanika Kanwal 21-10, 21-11 to check into the India Open second round today.

Malaysia’s other mixed pair of Chen Tang Jie-Peck Yen Wei also began their campaign on a winning note after taking just 22 minutes to down India’s MR Arjun-Treesa Jolly 21-11, 21-6.
