PETALING JAYA:
Olympic new boys Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik face the daunting task of overcoming the current world No 1 pair of Marcus Fernaldi Gideon-Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo of Indonesia in the last eight of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games men’s badminton doubles following the draw for the quarterfinals earlier today.

They have played each other seven times so far, with Marcus-Kevin winning each time.

Five of those defeats were also in straight games, such is the superiority of the Indonesian pair.

Their last meeting took place at the All England in March last year, with Marcus-Kevin coming up trumps 21-17, 21-19.
