PETALING JAYA:
Ooi Tze Liang and the combo of Wendy Ng-Nur Dhabitah Sabri won their events today to ensure Malaysia took home all the diving titles from the Manila SEA Games.

Tze Liang, 26, picked up 454.60 points to finish ahead of compatriot Syafiq Puteh (402.50) in men’s 3m springboard final in the morning. Singapore’s Mark Lee (325.50) took bronze.

It was his second gold this edition – after partnering Chew Yiwei to ace the 3m springboard synchro yesterday – and 11th overall since his debut at the 2013 edition in Naypyitaw, Myanmar.

To add icing on the cake, Wendy and Dhabitah later combined to deliver the team’s fourth overall gold this year in 3m springboard synchro at the New Clark City Aquatics Centre.

The duo amassed 270.60 points, way more than Singapore’s silver medallists Fong Kay Yian-Ashlee Tan (228.06). Thai divers Surincha Booranapol-Ramanya Yanmongkon (208.14) finished third.

Wendy, 26, also won the 3m springboard yesterday.
