PETALING JAYA:
This year’s SEA Games is turning out to be an unforgettable one for wushu exponent Loh Choon How.

The 26-year-old, who won Malaysia’s first gold medal of this edition yesterday, started Day 2 of action with another win – this time in Taijijian.

The Kuala Lumpur native impressed the judges to pick up 9.68 points to finish ahead of Jones Llabres of Philippines (9.65) and Brunei’s Zhe Hosea Wong (9.60).

Choon How’s success means the taijijian title, which Loh Jack Chang won at the last edition in Kuala Lumpur, stays in Malaysia’s grasp for at least another two years.

The triumph takes the national contingent’s total tally to five gold medals.
