Hafizh Syahrin said he wanted to focus on the two races before making any decision on his future with the Red Bull KTM Tech3 team.
“For now, I can’t say anything yet because I am still having discussions.
“Maybe after the next two races, we will know what my decision is, on where I’m going,” he told reporters after the launch of the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) and FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) on Monday.
Hafizh’s future came into question after Tech3 signed South African rider Brad Binder, to replace the 25-year-old next season.
The rider, who is known by the nickname ‘El Pescao’ (fish), has struggled to adapt to the KTM machinery after riding a Yamaha in his rookie season.
His performances this season is not up to par to his debut year where he frequently scored points and missed out on the rookie of the year crown by only four points.
