PEBBLE BEACH:
American Gary Woodland won the US Open by three strokes on Sunday when he held his nerve to fend off a challenge from Brooks Koepka at Pebble Beach.

The world number 25 carded two-under-par 69 in the final round.

Woodland finished at 13-under 271, while world number one Koepka, seeking his fifth major title in his past nine starts, came up short with a 68 for second place.
