OAKLAND:
Golden State star Stephen Curry will miss at least five more games with what the team called a “mild to moderate” strained left groin and will be re-evaluated by the team training and medical staff in 10 days, the Warriors announced on Wednesday.

He was injured November 8 versus the Milwaukee Bucks and has missed three games.

The Warriors start a three-game run through Texas on Thursday with games against the Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, and San Antonio Spurs. While Curry will make the trip, he will not play, the team announced.

After Texas, the Warriors will return home to play the Oklahoma City Thunder on November 21, the first of four home games in six nights. The Warriors host the Portland Trail Blazers on November 23.

On Monday, coach Steve Kerr said the Warriors were being extra careful with the two-time MVP because this is a “new injury for him”.

“He’s never had a groin strain before,” the coach said.

Curry leads the league in scoring with 29.5 points per game this season, adding 6.1 assists and five rebounds in 12 games.
