SAN JOSE:
Golden State Warriors stars Stephen Curry and DeMarcus Cousins won’t be punished for stepping on the court during a tense late-game situation against the Los Angeles Lakers in Friday’s preseason finale, according to Yahoo Sports.

Both players stepped on the court as the Lakers’ Lance Stephenson and Golden
State’s Quinn Cook were separated by officials after a hard foul.

The NBA mandates a one-game suspension for any player who leaves the bench
during an altercation, but reportedly has determined the events did not amount
to an altercation.

Warriors assistant Jarron Collins quickly ushered both players back to the
bench, where coach Steve Kerr briefly lectured them.

Golden State opens the season on Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
