MILAN:
Ducati home hope Andrea Dovizioso was impressive again in the third practice session for the San Marino motorcycle Grand Prix on Saturday, though Frenchman Johann Zarco set a sizzling late pace on his Yamaha Tech3.

Dovizioso, who was born 60 kilometres up the road from the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, was third-fastest but tops the leaderboard of the combined times after his sensational Friday showing, where he was fastest twice.

Zarco took advantage of a drying track Saturday to register a late lap some 0.49 seconds faster than Dovizioso, with Jack Miller between them.

Hot on their heels were world championship leader Marc Márquez of Honda in fourth, slightly ahead of Italian veteran Valentino Rossi.

Italian Andrea Iannone of Suzuki and Spain’s Dani Pedrosa of Honda were outside the top 10.
