Malaysian Dodgeball Federation president Mas Ermieyati Samsudin said in a statement today that even though the team failed to meet the target of clinching the 2018 World Cup title, they did well to emerge runners-up.
“The Malaysian dodgeball squad will be coming back stronger for the qualifying of the Asia Pacific Championships 2019 to book a spot in the 2019 World Cup,” she said.
She said prior to entering the final, the national dodgeball team defeated former world champions England in the semi-finals yesterday.
“The path to the final was not easy. But the Malaysian dodgeball team put up their best performance to go through,” she said.
