KUALA LUMPUR:
The 2017 Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP), scheduled to take place from Oct 27-29 at Sepang International Circuit (SIC), has received overwhelming response with only the hillstand tickets still up for sale.

SIC chief executive officer Razlan Razali said the tickets for the main grandstand, K1 Grandstand, F Grandstand, Premier Roving, the VR46 Tribune and the Marc Marquez Tribune had been snapped up by motorcycle fans.

In a statement here today, he said the encouraging response showed that this year’s edition would be the most highly anticipated event for motorcycle fans in Malaysia as well as in the region.

“Last year, we sold out three weeks before the event.

“So, it’s great to know that MotoGP fans have booked their tickets in advance as this year will be another great year with thrilling action in two-wheel racing,” he said.

“The hillstand tickets are left with less than 100 tickets for the SIC Racing Team tribune and more than half of the C2 hillstand tickets have been taken up,” he said, adding that tickets could be purchased online via the SIC website www.sepangcircuit.com, authorised agents and at SIC’s promotion booths.

He also reminded fans to buy valid tickets sold only by SIC and not other parties to avoid any problems later on.
