It is difficult to comprehend why PKR was in such a hurry to admit former BN leaders into its fold.
Two days ago, the party announced that a former federal minister, a newly-elected independent MP and a former Sarawak assistant minister were among five former BN leaders who had joined the party.
This question must be answered: Why is PKR picking up discards from Sarawak BN?
Two of them were sacked by their party just before the 14th general election (GE14) and the other was not re-nominated to defend his seat in the 2016 state election.
If they had performed well as elected representatives or were disciplined party members, they would not have been booted out.
So why is PKR picking up discards that the Sarawak BN had abandoned?
After all, PKR has already won the most number of seats among its Pakatan Harapan partners and the party clearly has more supporters now.
Why the necessity and hurry to pick up a few ex-BN people?
Is this a move by PKR to show its might and power to its other coalition partners?
If so, that is certainly not a healthy start to the great “hope” of the people and the new PH government.
