Girl, 13, falls to death at Penang condo

A 13-year-old girl died after falling to the eighth floor of a condominium in Tanjung Tokong, Penang, yesterday.

In a statement, Timur Laut police chief Abdul Rozak Muhammad said police were alerted by the public at 6.45pm.

Initial investigations indicate the teenager fell from her residence on the 16th floor.

Her body was found on the eighth floor at 5.49pm. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The on-site investigation and inspection of the victim’s body found no signs of foul play.

“The body was sent to Penang Hospital’s forensics department for an autopsy,” Rozak said, adding that investigations are ongoing.

The case has been classified as a sudden death.
