PETALING JAYA: A 24-year-old man has been arrested by police for allegedly sexually harassing a woman at the Kajang MRT station earlier this week.
Kajang police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof said the suspect was arrested at his home in Taman West Country, Bandar Baru Bangi, yesterday.
Police will seek to remand him for further investigations.
Naazron said the case is being probed under Section 509 of the Penal Code for outraging a person’s modesty, Berita Harian reported.
A 23-second viral video showed the alleged incident at Gate A of the MRT station at 9am on Thursday, prompting police to hunt for the suspect.
