PETALING JAYA:
A teenager sustained light facial injuries after a stranger slapped him at the Pasar Seni LRT station yesterday.

The assault was captured on video and is circulating on social media.

Dang Wangi police chief Sazalee Adam said the 13-year-old boy was lining up in front of a Rotiboy outlet at 1.30pm when the incident happened.

“The victim suffered an injury to the nose,” he said in a statement, adding that he was treated at Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a soft tissue nasal injury.

Sazalee said the boy was accused of jumping the queue.

“However, a preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was the first customer at the counter at the time, with no other customers present,” he said.

He said the suspect is believed to be in his 40s.

The case is being investigated for voluntarily causing hurt and the improper use of network facilities.
