PETALING JAYA: PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang confirmed that the party will take charge of Perikatan Nasional, following Muhyiddin Yassin’s decision to step down as the coalition’s chairman.
Hadi said that a meeting will be held next week to discuss Muhyiddin’s successor, Bernama reported.
He also said that PAS had many candidates among the religious scholars and technocrats in the party.
Hadi however refused to identify anyone in particular.
