Firefighters have saved a man who was trapped 6m up a rambutan tree when he was pinned down by a fallen branch, preventing him from climbing down.

Penang fire and rescue assistant director John Sagun Francis said the 26-year-old man climbed the rambutan tree to cut a branch, which then fell on him, causing back pain and preventing him from descending.
