On arrival, the former queen immediately interacted with FMT staff in her usual down-to-earth manner.
Given a brief tour of the office by executive chairman Nelson Fernandez, Tunku Azizah got a first-hand look at how FMT puts out the news on a daily basis. She also inquired into how artificial intelligence was reshaping the way news is processed and published.

Several FMT staff took the opportunity to have their pictures taken with the royal, who was more than happy to oblige.
Managing director Azeem Abu Bakar said FMT was honoured to have received Tunku Azizah, its first royal visitor.
“It was such a privilege to have Kebawah Duli Paduka Baginda present, even for a brief 20-minute visit.

“FMT has been privileged to cover the various events graced by the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, and Tunku Azizah, dating back to their time as Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong until recently.
“They include the ‘Walk With Al-Sultan Abdullah: The King of Sports’ event in October and the Sports Flame gala in May, two events celebrating Malaysia’s sporting greats of the past, which FMT was involved in.”
