Police are investigating a car crash, captured in a viral video, which occurred at Km13.4 Jalan Genting Highlands in Bentong, Pahang.

The 24-year-old driver was unharmed but his car was badly damaged, he said in a statement.

Zaiham said an investigation paper has been opened under the Road Traffic Rules 1959 for negligent or reckless driving.

He said the driver had been contacted to cooperate with the investigation.

“Bentong police will also take strict action and conduct enforcement action to ensure that the location and roads in question are not used as racing circuits by reckless drivers or riders who ignore traffic laws and regulations,” he said.
