PETALING JAYA:
KPJ Healthcare Bhd has successfully hosted its second KPJ Eye Conference at DoubleTree by Hilton in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together more than 300 ophthalmologists and eye-care experts from private practice, academia and the government sector.

The conference, held on Nov 1 and Nov 2, centred on the theme “Cataract & Refractive Surgery: Sharpening Our Vision for the Future”, featuring 14 scientific sessions and 33 speakers.

KPJ Healthcare said the event was held in collaboration with the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and the Malaysian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (MSCRS), with KPJ Healthcare University as an academic partner.

“Discussions included developments in premium intraocular lenses, advances in surgical techniques, AI-supported planning, presbyopia-correcting strategies and real-world outcomes,” it said in a statement.

KPJ Healthcare president and managing director Chin Keat Chyuan said as treatment options grow, specialists must build on real experience to guide patient decisions.

“This conference brings experts together to exchange what works in practice, supported by clinical data and shared case insight.
