PETALING JAYA:
Blogger Wan Azri Wan Deris, whose alter ego is believed to be Papagomo, has been arrested again in a sedition probe.

Lawyer Rafique Rashid Ali said Wan Azri was arrested at 9.30pm tonight in front of his home.

“He has arrived at the Dang Wangi police headquarters, and is expected to be remanded at 9.30am (tomorrow),” he said in a brief statement.

Rafique did not state under which case the arrest was made.

Wan Azri was arrested a week ago at 12.30am on Oct 26, and remanded the same morning at 9.30am.

He has been on trial in the Kuala Lumpur sessions court on a charge of making a seditious statement involving the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

On Sept 24, he was ordered to make his defence to the charge.

On Sept 3, the sessions court acquitted him of a charge of making seditious remarks alleging that the government was pro-Israel.

The Attorney-General’s Chambers said it would file an appeal against the decision.
