
PETALING JAYA: Three ferries docked at a pier in Langkawi were affected by a fire early this morning.
Kedah fire and rescue department Zone 4 chief Zamri Abdul Ghani said they received a call about the incident at 2.29am, Bernama reported.
They found three of the four ferries docked at the pier engulfed in flames.
Zamri said the Bahagia 99 ferry was 90% destroyed and the Coral Island ferry sustained 70% damage.
The Bahagia 8 ferry suffered 10% damage on the left side.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
The fourth ferry was unaffected by the fire and was towed out of the area for safety.
