The greeting was shared in a message posted on Sultan Ibrahim’s Facebook page yesterday evening with a photo of the royal couple.
The accompanying message read: “May the light of Deepavali fill your life with joy, prosperity and happiness. Wishing you and your loved ones a bright and blessed Deepavali.”
Also conveying Deepavali greetings were the Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah and Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
The Pahang royals extended their Deepavali greetings to all Hindus in the state and across the nation on their official Facebook page, “Kesultanan Pahang”.
The royal couple expressed their hope that “the festival of lights will be celebrated in an atmosphere filled with joy, love, and harmony among families and the local communities.”
“May this auspicious celebration continue to bring peace, prosperity, and a spirit of unity among the people of various races in Pahang Darul Makmur in particular, and throughout Malaysia in general,” the post said.
“Happy Deepavali.”
