PETALING JAYA: Police are investigating an incident where a female primary school student in Sipitang, Sabah, sustained a head injury after she was allegedly assaulted by a schoolmate today.
Sipitang police chief Awang Anak Suanda confirmed the incident and said that an investigation is under way, Berita Harian reported.
Photos of the girl with bloodstains on her school uniform had gone viral on social media.
The incident is believed to have happened at around 11am, when the boy had allegedly hit the girl with a belt.
