Police have set up a task force to investigate the death of a 16-year-old girl at a secondary school in Bandar Utama today.

He said the investigation had already seen police take statements from several students.

“We are still taking statements from students. If possible, we want to complete this as soon as possible.

“The suspect is 14 years old, while the victim was 16. Both of them were placed in remove class, and were in Form 1 and Form 3, respectively,” Sinar Harian reported him as saying.

Earlier, Shamsudin said the cops confiscated two sharp weapons believed to have been used by the suspect.

He said as of now, there is nothing to suggest bullying.

Meanwhile, Astro Awani quoted Shamsudin as saying the victim’s body had been taken to Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem.

The suspect will be remanded at the Petaling Jaya magistrates’ court tomorrow to aid the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
