5G Advanced, which delivers deeper, broader and faster coverage, has debuted in the Klang Valley and is set for a nationwide rollout by December.
YTL Communications CEO Wing K Lee said 5G Advanced, which is built on Ericsson technology, was more than just a network upgrade.
“It’s a game changer. With 5G Advanced, Malaysians can enjoy broader and deeper 5G coverage nationwide and a high- performance wireless network the country has not seen before.
“It’s the foundation for an uncapped, inclusive and AI-ready society that Malaysians deserve,” Wing said in a statement.
He also said that YTL is the first telco in Malaysia to commercially launch 5G Advanced through its service brand, Yes, and the 9th operator globally to launch the network.
Ericsson Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh president David Hägerbro said the introduction of 5G Advanced by YTL Communications marked a new chapter in Malaysia’s digital journey.
“This evolution of 5G will deliver a truly world-class mobile experience for consumers, with smoother streaming and more responsive gaming.”
