PETALING JAYA:
Bersatu Supreme Council member Wan Saiful Wan Jan, who had launched a scathing attack on party secretary-general Azmin Ali late last month, today threatened more “exposes” should the leadership continue to pressure him.

Wan Saiful said he would reveal which party leaders had been liaising with their rivals, Malaysiakini reported.

“We know who received millions (from them). But we haven’t exposed them so far. So don’t push too hard,” the Tasek Gelugor MP was quoted as telling reporters after attending the party’s disciplinary hearing.

Wan Saiful also claimed he had been approached with an offer to jump ship, and said he had provided details to the Parliamentary Rights and Privileges Committee, along with video and audio recordings, photographs, and telephone numbers.

“If I were to accept any offer from that individual, I would have done that last year,” he said, adding that he rejected the offer to defect, out of love for Bersatu.

On Sept 29, Was Saiful claimed that Azmin was unfit to be a Bersatu leader as long as the controversy surrounding a leaked explicit video allegedly of him remains unresolved.

He also claimed that Azmin had threatened division leaders over a supposed plot to oust Muhyiddin Yassin as party president.

His remarks led to calls for his sacking.

Commenting on today’s disciplinary hearing, Wan Saiful said it had been conducted briefly, where he addressed the allegations against him. He declined to give details.

Wan Fayhsal wants hearing deferred

Bersatu MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal requested that the party’s disciplinary board proceedings against him be deferred on grounds of a conflict of interest among the panel hearing his case.

Wan Fayhsal said the disciplinary board is chaired by Radzi Abdul Manan, who is the father-in-law of vice-president Ahmad Faizal Azumu. He said Radzi is also the father of one of the Supreme Council members.

He hoped that the panel would be replaced to ensure a fair and transparent process.

“I’m not running away. I’m only asking for the proceedings to be postponed so that the (disciplinary board) membership can be reorganised.

“I’m prepared to defend myself, but it should be before a panel that is not biased,” he said.

Wan Fayhsal said that his case, which he had not made public, revolves around a matter linked to the previous election.
