
PETALING JAYA: A fire broke out at a warehouse in Kampung Telok Gong, Port Klang, early this morning, involving processed paper being stored at the facility.
No casualties were reported in the incident at the paper recycling facility.
The Selangor fire and rescue department said it received a distress call at 6.47am, with firemen arriving at the scene 11 minutes later.
A total of 24 firefighters and five emergency vehicles from the Port Klang, Pulau Indah, Sri Andalas, and Klang Utara fire stations were deployed to the scene.
Operations commander Hakim Hashim said the fire was brought under control by 7.42am, although firefighting operations remain ongoing.
