PETALING JAYA: Police are searching for about 20 motorcyclists seen in a viral video surrounding and kicking a Perodua Myvi near the Batu 13 toll plaza in Puchong.
Serdang police chief Farid Ahmad said the incident occurred at around 4am yesterday and was reported by the 52-year-old driver at a police station at about 10pm the same day.
“We are still determining the actual cause (of the incident). It is estimated that about 20 motorcyclists were involved, and efforts are being made to trace and arrest them,” he said in a statement today.
The case is being investigated under Sections 427 and 279 of the Penal Code for mischief and reckless driving.
The 29-second clip shows the motorcyclists closing in on both sides of the Myvi, and one rider punching the driver’s window and kicking the car door, causing a side mirror to shatter.
