This matter was confirmed by Sabah prosecution director Nahra Dollah, Bernama reported.
Yesterday, Nahra was reported to have said that she would seek instructions from the attorney-general regarding media coverage.
She said this after coroner Amir Shah Amir Hassan asked whether the media would be allowed to cover the proceedings, given the high-profile nature of the case.
Today, Amir Shah said the media could obtain information regarding the proceedings through the lawyers involved once the testimony had concluded.
The media has been barred from entering the room since Monday to protect the identity of child witnesses. To date, three student witnesses have testified.
A total of 32 more child witnesses are expected to testify in the inquest.
To date, eight adults have testified, with 25 more expected in the upcoming session.
Zara, 13, was confirmed dead at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu, on July 17, a day after she was found unconscious in a drain near her school’s dormitory in Papar at 4am.
On Aug 8, the AGC ordered that Zara’s remains be exhumed for a post-mortem. Five days later, it ordered for an inquest to be conducted.
