“Starting today, you can check your eligibility for BUDI95 on the official Budi Madani portal,” the finance ministry said in an Instagram post.
Once at the website, users only need to key in their MyKad number to find out their eligibility.
Under the initiative, members of the police and armed forces will be eligible to purchase RON95 at RM1.99 per litre starting Sept 27, while recipients of the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) aid may do so from Sept 28.
All other Malaysians will be able to purchase the fuel at the reduced price from Sept 30.
The savings will be used to expand targeted assistance that directly benefits the people, including STR and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah.
Malaysians aged 16 and above with an active driving licence are entitled to purchase up to 300 litres of RON95 petrol per month.
