Ammar Ariffin, 27, was found at about 1.30pm yesterday, Berita Harian reported.
“He was found together with his girlfriend at her unit,” Serdang police chief Farid Ahmad was quoted as saying.
Farid said police found Ammar following a tip-off.
Ammar was reported to have gone missing after being involved in a minor accident with a military officer’s vehicle in Subang on the night of Aug 22.
He had allegedly fled the scene without lodging a report but was later contacted by the officer who had tracked him down through his car number plate.
Ammar’s family lodged two police reports after failing to contact him on Aug 24.
A separate report was also filed by his course supervisor when he did not report back on Aug 25 after attending a transport management course at the RMAF’s materials training institute at the Kinrara army camp along Jalan Puchong.
Police previously said Ammar was last seen at Sungai Kedondong, Batang Kali, on Aug 23. His mobile phone was later found to be switched off.
Ammar’s sister, Anis Aqilah, told Berita Harian she last spoke to him on Aug 22 before he went for a picnic at Sungai Kedondong with fellow trainees.
